2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the Service: Authenticate your account, deliver analytics, generate AI insights, process predictions, and track performance.
• Personalize Your Experience: Customize alerts, preferred sports, risk settings, and display preferences.
• Process Payments: Manage subscriptions, process billing, and issue credits via Stripe.
• Send Notifications: Deliver push notifications, alerts (line movements, injuries, weather, ML edge detection), and account-related emails.
• Improve the Service: Analyze usage patterns to improve features, model accuracy, and user experience.
• Ensure Security: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and other security threats.
• Comply with Legal Obligations: Respond to legal requests, enforce our Terms of Service, and comply with applicable laws.

We do NOT:

• Sell your personal data to third parties;
• Use your data for behavioral advertising;
• Share your betting records, performance data, or analysis history with other users;
• Use your personal data to make automated decisions that produce legal effects concerning you without your explicit consent.

All third-party service providers are contractually bound to process your data only for the purposes described above and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

4. AI & Machine Learning Data Processing

When you use our AI-powered features (analysis, agent chat, research), your queries and contextual data (such as game information and odds) are sent to third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic) for processing. We want you to understand:

• We minimize personal data sent to AI providers — queries are anonymized where technically feasible;
• AI providers process data under their respective privacy policies and data processing agreements;
• We do not use your data to train or fine-tune third-party AI models;
• AI chat history is stored in our database to provide conversation continuity and is deletable upon request;
• AI outputs may be cached temporarily to improve performance and reduce costs.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

• Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) for all data transmissions;
• Encryption at rest for database storage (via Supabase/PostgreSQL);
• Passwords hashed using bcrypt (never stored in plaintext);
• Row-level security (RLS) policies ensuring users can only access their own data;
• Secure API key management and environment variable isolation;
• Regular security reviews of our codebase and infrastructure.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

6. Data Retention

• Account Data: Retained for as long as your account is active.
• Betting Records & Performance Data: Retained for as long as your account is active to provide historical performance tracking.
• AI Chat History: Retained until you delete it or your account is terminated.
• Payment Records: Retained as required by tax and financial regulations (typically 7 years).
• Server Logs: Retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes.
• Post-Deletion: Upon account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, legal disputes).

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

7.1 All Users

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data.

9. Push Notifications

If you opt in to push notifications, we collect and store your push subscription endpoint, encryption keys, and device name to deliver alerts (line movements, injury reports, weather impacts, ML edge alerts, etc.). You may:

• Disable push notifications at any time through your browser settings or account settings;
• Customize which alert categories you receive;
• Request deletion of push subscription data by contacting us.

We track notification delivery and interaction status (delivered, clicked, dismissed) to ensure reliable delivery and improve the notification experience.

10. Do Not Track Signals

We do not use third-party tracking technologies and do not engage in cross-site tracking. Our Service honors Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals by default, as we do not conduct the type of tracking that DNT is designed to prevent.

11. Third-Party Links & Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g., sportsbooks, news sources, research resources). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
